About

Andy Craighill-Middleton

Andy Craighill-Middleton is a North Carolinian with deep roots in his town of Kannapolis. A former graphics designer, marketing director for American cosmetics and fashion brands, elected county party official, and culinary arts major, Andy has used his ability to connect with people and ideas to help move progressive causes forward since his childhood in the 90s. He brings with him a history of volunteer work with Cabarrus County libraries, local LGBTQ organizations, community mental health groups, and more. Now, as a father, he seeks to keep the state and country moving forward to a place where all truly are welcome to thrive. As your US House of Representatives candidate in NC District 6, he's ready to promote policies including establishing committees to look at the underlying issues causing our current mental health crises, committing to a higher standard of education for our youth, and fighting back against discriminatory policies.

"We're not tolerating what we can't change anymore - we're changing what we can't tolerate. Let's get to work!"

About

Vouchers reduce our public school funding. They're bad for our kids, bad for our communities, and have a disproportionate impact on rural families, who often have no “school choice” in the first place.

HBCUs need to be funded - they provide nurturing environments, fantastic traditions, and are crucial to student success.

Legalization needs to be carefully planned and managed.  If we jump on it, we could see the same financial benefits as when the state of Colorado went through legalization.
